EARTHQUAKE IN PAKISTAN!

This morning at 8:50am (11:50pm ET Friday), a magnitude 7.6 quake struck Pakistan and parts of India and Afghanistan. People from Islamabad, Lahore and Indian capital of New Delhi also felt the quake. This quake was caused by the collision of the Eurasian and Indian Tectonic plate.

According to initial estimates, 18,020 people were killed and 41,188 people were injured. This earthquake had also caused landslides that damaged villages, roads and homes of people.

Helicopters are used to evacuate people to relief camps so that they will be safe. The injured are transported to medical centres and hospitals for treatment.
